JBC & SPS Book Series: Jill Wine-Banks Presents The Watergate Girl: My Fight for Truth and Justice Against a Criminal President (BoCo Event)
SPS Boomer's Community invites you to join us for a fascinating evening:
The Watergate Girl - My Fight For Truth and Justice Against a Criminal President
Moderated by Michael Blumenfeld
Wednesday, January 13 at 7:30 PM
At the crossroads of the Watergate scan- dal and the women’s movement was a young Jewish lawyer named Jill Wine Volner (as she was then known), barely thirty years old and the only woman on the team that prosecuted the highest-ranking White House officials. Called “the mini-skirted lawyer” by the press, she fought to receive the respect accorded her male counter- parts and prevailed. At once a cautionary tale and an inspi- ration for those who believe in the power of justice and the rule of law, this book is a revelation about our country, our politics, and our society.
This is a BoCo program, but all are welcome.
This program is in partnership with The Jewish Book Council. We encourage you to purchase her book at www.bookshop.org.
