From Shul to Table

We are so excited to announce our kickoff event for this programming year "From Shul to Table" which will be a cooking demonstration at SPS on September 19th at 7 PM

It will be a matzo ball soup, hummus and Israeli salad demo - perfect for the holiday season! We will post the video on the SPS website as well, for those who can't make it that night.  The best part will be that everyone gets to taste the final results!

This is an in-person event and we look forward to meeting all of you there. We hope you can join us for a little nosh and a lot of shmooze.

Please let us know if you're coming by RSVP'ing to mensclub@spsnyc.org - this event is open to all, not just members of Men's Club so please invite others!

Men's Club Guest Event: Alon Wald, Ammunition Hill

Thursday, November 11th (Veteran's Day) at 7:30 PM

Alon Wald is the Head of Marketing & Operations at Ammunition Hill National Heritage Center, the site that led to the reunification of Jerusalem in the Six-Day War. Wald is the son of Captain Rami Wald z"l, who fought in the 55th Paratroopers Brigade in Jerusalem during the Six-Day War and was killed in action while leading the Paratroopers into Ammunition Hill. Wald served his country as an officer in several elite IDF units, the Israeli Secret Service (Shabak), and oversaw security operations at Israeli embassies. Thanks to Jewish National Fund-USA, Ammunition Hill has evolved into an international landmark that presents the legacy of the liberation of Jerusalem and a must-see destination.

JBC & SPS Book Series: Michael Ian Black Presents "A Better Man (A Mostly Serious Letter To My Son)" (Men’s Club Event)

JBC & SPS Book Series: Michael Ian Black Presents A Better Man (A Mostly Serious Letter To My Son)

In conversation with Rabbi Dave Levy

Wednesday, February 10 at 7:30 PM

In this thoughtful, inspiring, and deeply person- al book, Jewish comedian, actor, and father Michael Ian Black gets (mostly) serious about the trouble with masculinity. He searches for the best way to help his son in a world where the word “masculinity” now goes hand in hand with “toxic.” Part memoir, part advice book, Black delivers a poignant answer to an urgent question: How can we be, and raise, better men?

This is a Men’s Club event, but all are welcome!

This program is in partnership with The Jewish Book Council. We encourage you to purchase her book at www.bookshop.org.
